Eric Stewart is a Partner with the Washington DC firm of Williams & Jensen, PLLC. Mr. Stewart represents clients before the Administration, Congress and select foreign governments on a range of international and domestic policy matters. Mr. Stewart also serves as President of the following six business groups:
- American-Central European Business Association
- American-Lithuanian Business Council
- American-Romanian Business Council
- U.S. – Hungary Business Council
- U.S. – Poland Business Council
- U.S. – Turkmenistan Business Council
Prior to joining Williams & Jensen, Mr. Stewart served as the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe/Eurasia at the Department of Commerce and as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In 2006, Mr. Stewart was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary by the President of Hungary for his outstanding contributions to fostering Hungarian-American economic relations. In 2012, Mr. Stewart was awarded the Knights Cross of the Order of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland for Mr. Stewart’s formation of the US-Poland Business Council. He is also a member of the Atlantic Council.
Mr. Stewart, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, also served three years on the University’s National Alumni Board of Directors as well as received the Ohio University 2002 Outstanding Recent Graduate Award.
Mr. Stewart is often called upon by Members of Congress for his views on bilateral and regional economic relations with foreign countries.
For over fifteen years, Mr. Decker has been at the center of international politics. He has assisted foreign countries, multinational corporations, and trade promotion organizations in pursuing their various political and commercial interests around the globe. As part of his international consulting work, Mr. Decker delivers speeches and informational seminars to foreign government officials and business leaders around the world. In 2005, Mr. Decker designed and implemented a series of training programs in Washington, DC for newly arriving Ambassadors, diplomats, military officers, and foreign business leaders. In 2015, he trained embassy staff from more than 100 countries on the intricacies of the U.S. federal government and American politics.
Previously, Mr. Decker served as the congressional and political advisor to the British Embassy and as a political advisor to the Japanese Embassy in Washington, DC. Mr. Decker also has many years’ experience working for the U.S. Congress, serving as an international trade and foreign policy advisor to Congressman Mark Souder of Indiana. Mr. Decker is a graduate of Indiana University, with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He also holds a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Luke Myers is an International Government Affairs Manager at Williams & Jensen, PLLC, the Vice President of the American- Lithuanian Business Council, and the Policy Director for the US-Poland Business Council. He works closely with Congress, the U.S. Administration, and select foreign governments to promote American trade and commercial relationships abroad. Mr. Myers has organized international policy conferences with participation from cabinet-level officials of the U.S. and overseas governments. Previously, Mr. Myers worked in the office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown on a variety of issues, including education, labor, and international trade. He got his start in public policy as a Research Assistant for the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, a higher education think tank, where he co-authored “College Rankings: History, Criticisms, and Reform.” Mr. Myers holds a B.A. in political science from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University.
Jennifer Wanandi is the Executive Assistant to two active principals at Williams & Jensen, PLLC. She also serves as Director of Administration for the US-Turkmenistan Business Council, American- Lithuanian Business Council and US-Poland Business Council. Prior to her arrival at Williams & Jensen, she served as a Government Relations Assistant at Jones Walker LLP in their Washington DC office, where she worked on international issues. In 2012, she worked on Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Alex Hopkins is a Legislative Analyst at Williams & Jensen. He serves as Research Director for ACEBA, ALBC, AMRO, USHBC, and USPBC, and as Policy Director for the USTBC. Prior to his arrival at Williams & Jensen, he gained experience on Capitol Hill working for a U.S. Representative. He also completed an Institute for the International Education of Students program in France focused on European Union history, politics, and economics. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the College of Wooster in Ohio and speaks French.
